Cigar Bombing Etiquette

It should also be noted that some of the best thought out and well recieved bombs of the past didn't even contain cigars.... Try to learn about the person you are bombing, not just the smoker.
Well said, Matt. Well said.

Yea some people are in to stuff outside of cigars. Wine, beer, knives, etc. SO it doesn't have to be cigars. It is the thought that counts. You never know you might send something that person has never tried and open them up to a whole new cigar they might have never tried unless you sent it to them.

Added to that, I have sent 1 cigar, and I've sent 20. I've sent spirits, beer, jam, and music, all in the context of this board. There are no rules. It's pretty much governed by the situation and the occasion.

BTW, build a man a fire and you'll keep him warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for life!

I usually send clocks! I usually wait and watch somebody I plan to bomb and see if they make any comments or getures on a post and see if I might have it in stock and if I do well you know the rest! It might be 1 month and it might be 1 year!

Moki also had a good post about this subject a while back!

I think i can say like everyone that a bomb should be something you send to someone because you genuinely want that person to have and share something that you have. I wish that I could bomb people on the board a LOT more frequently than I do, but financially (and the fact that I dont have things in my humi like some) I just cannot. But, I send out what I can and when I do get bombed, the contents are not what floor me, it's the fact that someone was generous and thoughtful enough to think of me and send me something. Also, one of the things that I do agree with is that you do not always have to bomb with cigars or alcohol. Sometimes just talking to someone you will inevitably find that people have so many varied interests...maybe they collect things or they like football or movies...just paying attention to people and what they tell you can mean the difference...the bottom line is, bomb with what you can, IF you can, and don't worry about matching someone else's bomb...because what you send can and will mean the world to the person receiving it...
