I currently have subscriptions to two magazines, Smoke and Cigar Aficionado. What are some good cigar related books and are there any other cigar related magazines?

Cigar Insider is nothing but ratings. The price is a little steep IMHO. Min Ron Nee's book is considered the best reference for Cuban cigars made after the revolution.

I bought The Cigar book by Conrad Barnaby. More of a history of cigars thing. Intresting tidbits such as how a soon to be executed prisoner requesting a smoke was started, as well as other interesting information. Other good stuff:

-Every year since 1831, Cuba sends Spain the best Cohibas and Trinidads to honor Spain allowing Cuba to cultivate and sell tabacco on their own.

-Sigmund Freud smoked 15 cigars a day

-Fidel doesn't smoke, something having to do with a UN anti-smoking campaign that he is gung-ho about

-The Spaniards were the first to smoke the cigar as we know it, the natives wrapped the tabacco in Maize or other plants.

-The "churchill" is of course named after Winston Churchill, Romeo y Julieta named Winston's favorite size of smoke after him.

-Mark Twain smoked the cheapest, smelliest dog rockets that he could find

Plenty of other stuff as well, an excellent read.

Inflatus - I like the Smoke magazine but like many others I read some months just suck.

SFG75 - "The Cigar" looks interesting, I haven't heard of it till now.

Shadow - Never heard of the Eurpean Cigar Cult Journal till now. Apparently I need to check it out since it got so many nominations.

I wonder if it is only in certain geographic areas for Barnes & Noble because out of the 3 that I visit I have not seen it. Then again, I did not know to look for it but I will next time.

I had to tell mine to special order it and they did.

I'll have to find it over the internet because the 3 Barnes & Nobels are located a good distance from me and I am not what you would consider a regular.

I've been looking for this book, the only place I can find it is from the UK and they want $50 for shipping...ouch! Is there a better place?

It's an expensive book, and if the shipping is even mildly reasonable it's a great deal.

I know a guy in the UK that our company does a lot of business with. I will check with him tomorrow to see if he can pick up some copies and ship them to me. If this is possible I will post it with a price.
