I made the trash smell bad, once. It seems cigars smell worse that rotting chicken flesh, at least according to the wife. Toilet is not a good idea, as any plumber will tell you. So I bought a trash can that remains outside, like the kind that one uses to put ashes from the wood-stove in.

This is what I do as well. When it gets full I take and dump it out in the weeds.
