Congrats Randy, I thought the Buckeyes would win, but I didn't know they win by 25!. Heck of a good game.

Updates are coming folks.

I'll take Utah in the Fiesta Bowl. That looks likeliest for them at this point.

GO UTES!!!
Oooooooooo, gimme other side of that one

BIG TWELVE RULES or maybe I shoulda done that in RED if for some reason Oklahoma doesn't get to go to the Orange Bowl.

Utah won't know what hit 'em when Texas or Oklahoma gets done with them ;)

WOW, I'm screwed now :0 I had pretty much forgotten about this thread and things have changed a whole heck of a lot from the end of November.

Texas is going to be tough in the Rose Bowl :( and now Utah has a cake walk since they now have a BIG EAST opponent as opposed to a Big 12 :D

After all my bravado, I guess I'm glad I only have to send out cigars for ONE losing bet

Unless of course I get lucky with the Wolverines in the Rose Bowl ;) but I ain't holding my breath.

Not sure which bowl they are going to yet (it will be non-BCS), but I'll take Boise State against whatever opponent they get.

I only watched parts of the first half and it seems to me that the only points that Boise State scored were the ones that Louisville handed to them ??? Was the 2nd half any different?

"Handed to them?" Well, if you call UL throwing a couple of interceptions and fumbling the ball twice "handing it to them", you might have a point. I prefer to call it good defense. While the offense wasn't bad for BSU, the defense and Special Teams really kept them in the game.

For the day, BSU scored:

1 TD off an interception
1 TD off a BSU fumble
1 Passing TD
2 Rushing TD
2 Field Goals

Exactly, that was my point. The interception I saw that resulted in a TD was a bad pass, period. The Louisville fumble of a kickoff return was the UL guy falling over his own two feet, not really caused by some outstanding pressure defense.

I dunno, I wasn't too impressed with the BSU offense, their ground game was pretty bad from the parts of the game I saw (the commentators pointed that out on several occasions) and Louisville seemed to handle BSU defense pretty well . I remember that early in the game the Louisville quarterback's passes completed/passes attempted was 7/9. Is the Louisville quarterback THAT good or was the BSU secondary not playing so great? Honestly, I dunno........

Hey, I'm not even a Louisville fan nor am I really an expert of the finer points of football. I just thought that Louisville was the superior team and that the only reason the game was close was because Louisville was doing a great job of beating themselves and handing BSU opportunities.

Alright Wam, A&M forgot to show up for a football game. Your 'gars will go out Monday first thing. I have your addy since you were in my pass, all I have to do is look it up again. A&M is always a tough tema to play, I'm amazed at how bad they got beaten. It's been quite an interesting year in the little 12 conference. :p :whistling:

It's stormy today and the power has been going out
I did catch the score in the third quarter. I thought it would be
a competative game
If it had to be a rout, at least I had the right team.
You do know what my favorites are???

The powers back on now, and I turned on the LSU game looks like it'll
be a close one

Yeah you're right, looks like a nail biter to the very end. 18-17 in the 4th. ??? ???

How about those Iowa Hawkeyes!! Wow!!. :0 :0 :0 :0

BTW-That third string LSU quarterback played pretty good too. :whistling:

Hey, Greg, haven't seen you post on here in a while, tryin' to dog me on the Fiesta Bowl?

C'mon, save yourself some trouble and get those two sticks in the mail.! :)

Well, after I got dogged out of Cal and stuck with Pitt, not much to say. However, I will back Pitt tonight and hope that the rain will stick around Tempe long enough to make the Yutes( ;) ) slow enough for the Panthers to disrupt the game plan. :D

Gregor

Pittsburg may surprise some of us ??? Personally, I'd take Utah BUT if I remember correctly, I finished 8th out of eight in a College Bowl pool I was in at CW last year. :0 :0

I picked most of the early bowls correctly but I picked wrong on all the major ones.

Therefore since I'd pick Utah in this game and based on my past performance, Pitt will win

Thak you Bill, or should I call you Mr. Jinx?

Since I'm actually not that much of a sports fan I can't make a 'scientific' analysis of how this game might turn out. I'm just from Utah, so I gotta root for the home team. :p

BUT, I've been thinking about how Pitt turned the end of their season around, so...... :whistling:
