Well, I posted a thread in the Poker forum proposing a regular Wednesday night game and it hasn't gotten much attention, so I was wondering who's all paying for the ability to play here?

The simple truth which Jim pointed out in his thread in the poker forum is that the current interest in playing just isn't worth the $5 a month.

Anyone up to making this a worthwhile subscription?
 
I think the main problem with this is the time zone differences. Someone like you who might want to play at 8 or 9PM leaves the west coast players having to play right during the dinner hour. Reverse it, and you're going to bed just when the west/mountain contingent wants to get going.

I've been subscribed now for three months, and have played a total of 3 times. $5 isn't much, but its sorta like dropping a sawbuck on the sidewalk for me. Not sure if I'll stay subscribed beyond this month.
 
All active players are paying $5/month. $5/month (a measly $60/year) is a small price to pay to have your own interactive poker table with a chatroom, but if you're not going to use it, then I see your point.

If people feel that's too much and the participation isn't going to grow, then we will remove the poker room from CP.
 
I would love to play more often. Problem is that I have to be up and atem at 4 am during the week and I cant go to work half asleep. Therefore an 8 central start for me during the week is about as late as I would want to start.
 
I am paying but everytime I go there no one is logged in. On Wednesday's I will make an attempt but cannot promise anything before 9:30EDT. Hope to see more playing.

I would love to see more people join and see the room become more active. Im not complaining just letting everyone know I'm game when I can get to the server to play and when I'm usually on. I only know one game thats fun playing with yourself!
 
I would start playing, if we all set certain games on certain nights. Let's say we all lived in the same city and played every tuesday night. I wouldn't think a 5 dollar buy in is high, but if you are subsribed and never play because we don't set games, i see the point. Maybe we should set up a game schedule.
 
I just use a strightened out paperclip. Works great.

Lately I havent' had to use it much though.
