Cigar Ribbon

Does anyone know what kind of ribbon the cigar companies use to tie their cabinet cigars? I have several Johnny-O bundles and bunches of cigars I purchased out of boxes (like LFD Small Batch). I have used or burned most of my empty boxes and I'd like to bundle these for long term aging. I just don't want to use something that will cause discoloration, damage the wrappers, or cause off flavors. I would assume it is just plain old ribbon, but I thought I'd check and see if anyone knew before I screwed something up. Any info or ideas would be very helpful.

I just wrap a piece of wax paper around them, and tape the seam.
