Cigar Role Model

all the FOGS who impart there wisdom here on the forums. i've learned a lot, thanks!

Greetings! My three favorite cigar role models are Mark Twain, Sir Winston Churchill, and Peter Falk. I would enjoy having a cigar with 'Columbo' actor, Peter Falk. I believe that we could have some very interesting conversation! Regards, knightlaird

My favorites would be General Abrahms Winston churchill Bill Cosby archie bunker and George Burns reason is these guys all made cigars part of them uit wasthier trademark and they were excepted for it.Except for bunker who was just funny

Before my time in the Marines but from what I read about him he's one Hard-core Top-notch Marine and would be honored to smoke with him, AVB, and all other Marines out there.

Semper Fi!

Speaking of notable, cigar smoking Marines, I nominate Chesty Puller, Who also had his USPS stamp released today.

Never knew anyone that smoked cigars growing up. Our parents way to combat us kids from smoking was to inhale some green cigars from the 1970's. It made us all sick and I didnt touch anything on the tobacco side for nearly 20 years. But was around pipes growing up and Pop, smoked alot of pipe for many years. And i always wanted a pipe and finally took that punge in 1997. :D

My Dad, he was a cigar smoker and Chest nut. He was always sitting in a cloud of smoke (in the house) with his buddies and it was a cool feeling being around the grown up men as a child. He reached age 82.

Winston Churchill as well and Albert Einstein.

Moki, I've drooled over that rare fuente page since before I started posting here and I check it atleast 4 times a week.

That and his reviews always pin point out tastes that I can taste, but never think of the right word.

And lumby for his opus blends! :sign:

There is a guy at the local cigar shop back home that is my cigar role model. He could have raked me good the first time I came in, when I was 20 years old, and got a good, one-time sale out of me, but he did not. He sold me a nice variety of cigars, told me to try them one day at a time, and come back to him and tell him what I liked. I did, and then he did the same thing again, and I quickly learned what I liked and didn't like.

Everytime I go back home, I stop in the shop and drop a nice amount on cigars there, instead of getting disgruntled at cigars after the first time I went into that shop.

Oh yeah, and Joe M. Always my elder with great advice...

The ones who did a lot for me when I first joined here were Lee, Bill, and AVB (turned me onto Gurkhas). Devin Cole also sent me my first BTL and Hemmingway Maduro, so that was great too. I kinda found and learned about cigars on my own, but these guys helped me refine my tastes.

Bill Clinton
and Monica Lewinsky of course.
Oh, what nice things can be done with a cigar. :D
