Thanks for you concern. Lots of things were "wrong" which is irrelevant.

As I posted previously, to the best of my knowledge, I've mailed out all past obligations and if I've missed someone, please let me know and I will get it taken care of.

Since none of the mailings have been listed on Cigar Pool's site, yet, it would be impossible to tell if anyone's been missed unless they speak up. As my boss is fond of pointing out to me almost daily, "The job isn't done until the paperwork's complete!".

I, too, would be interested in participating in a similar pool if one is started here at CP.

It's impossible for me to register the mailings for any of the drawings before 2/07/07. Winners going back as late as three our four drawings previous to that date can still "mark winnings received." Hopefully they will as they receive them. There have been times where people have failed to "mark winnings received" and unfortunately I too missed one or two people who did indeed send me cigars and I missed marking them as received and by the time I realized it or had been made aware of it, I could no longer mark them as received.

I was unaware that after a certain point in time it's not possible to register your mailings.

I follow the thread on Cigar Pool to see what smokes have been sent to the winners, what numbers have become available, who isn't sending smokes, etc. Since you can't register your mailings, my point is moot, and I've learned something.

But some great points were brought out in this thread. Guys who have a very established reputation that are suddenly failing in the timely delivery of their ends? That's just plain WRONG!!! And I think it should be HARSHLY dealt with - QUICKLY!!! No need for any kind of grace period!! A month or so is a tremendously long time... I'm proud of this community - making sure others are safe from the likes of these people! Let 'em have it!!! :thumbs:

And I really think we need to flush out what's being sent to winners!!! I mean - c'mon! If participants, especially those from CP, are sending those winners JR's, Perdomo's, Sancho Panza's, 3X3's or something equally great - everyone should know about it! Let's get a handle on that - I think if you're going to participate in CigarPool and belong to this board - you need to be fully honest and disclose what you're sending out! And I think it is everyone's duty on this board to list what they've received from other CP members! It really is for the good of everyone here.

Smitty - you just let me know if CC doesn't send you your sticks - I got you covered. I'm not going to allow you to be "stiffed"...

If you call out the crap cigars you'll quickly have a half empty pool. The best bet is just to put your wins in an excel file and return in kind. The issues brought up are why I left. Some detailed threads laying around the internet when I got wise. You send out nice smokes and some extras and get literally one single sent in a bubble mailer. The pool is either what you want or not. To me I expected something different than what was happening. As far as this flare up here....IMO minor. CC will make it right. My time in the pool there was some serious dead wood.

If I remember you can list your sticks when you register the mailing. It should be as simple as a rule change over there to detail what is sent. Hey, I'm all for it. Your in a pool with cigars play it right. But I'm telling you when I freaked I got a bunch of "one mans rocket is another man's daily" I was screaming until I gave up the numbers.

They had sent out an email earlier asking folks to actually list what was being sent. No more "several from the 'dor", "some good sticks" or "smokes sent".

It's not a rule, but it should be.

Also, there really isn't anything in place to verify what someone claims to have sent. I guess you could post on the message board if someone claims to send one thing and you get crap.
