Economic Times are tough…Stocks markets are sinking… Major industries are failing and we are all feeling a
financial pinch. We have a new president-elect who is expected to bring new energy and life to our sluggish economy. No easy job…
We are all feeling the pressure… concerned about our jobs, savings, homes and plans for retirement. There is a lot of anxiety out there and we are all waiting for the next shoe to drop. We are all waiting for a turnaround but starting to brace for the worse.
When times like this come along, we all cut back on luxury things…we eat out less, travel less and as cigar or pipe smokers, we cut back on our buying habits. Instead of buying a Padron Anniversary 1926, we may buy several of the 3000’s. We are now looking for more value for our dollar then buyingwhat we really want.
Fortunately there is a silver lining in all of this for us all. Spending less for a cigar does not mean that we have to lose out on quality, construction and flavor. There are now so many cigar manufacturers that are focused on creating awesome smokes at affordable prices.
Perhaps the best medicine for tough times like the ones we face today is a little extra time at the cigar store with friends. We try to gain some perspective on the current economic times. We try to reassure ourselves and we are also supporting our local cigar shop and the cigar industry. They both really need our help.
There are most better times ahead. Until then, the cigar fan in all of us knows exactly how to create better times right now.
Light up enjoy…
