Growing too fast.
I had been very much looking forward to putting fire to this smoke for some time and decided it was time. Construction was really good with a golden brown wrapper, however there was a good bit of green coloring, especially along the edges of the veins. I clipped the tapered cap and pre-draw was just a tad bit on the tight side, but not a problem.
With the foot torched I started to take a couple puffs and was a little concerned from the strange taste coming from the smoke. Once burning good I took a draw and got a very bitter, acrid flavor. I got a quarter in and the cigar was burning well, but there was nothing but a bitter, bland taste coming from this thing.
I smoked it down to a little over halfway hoping that something would change, but finally had to put it down as it was just completely awful. No flavor other than a bitterness, and the aftertaste was like the smell of paint thinner. I would have to say that this was up there with one of the worst cigars I’ve ever smoked. Ah well, can’t win ‘em all!
