Coming to NYC...

What time should we meet? I need to leave no later than 9:30 for an early meeting and a very long day Friday. I can probably be in the city between 4 and 5 from the looks of it.

I haven't been on much lately. Just saw this. Is there an update on the hours for this?

I am usually in attendance Thursdays for the He-Man Women Haters Club weekly meeting at Schlessinger's. But I could miss one meeting and just read the minutes. :)

We should meet at the Lounge between 4:30-5:00 for a smoke and drink. If anyone wants to have dinner afterwards we can search for a place near by.

I will be there by 6:30 at the latest...
I will shoot for earlier.

-Rob

6:30?...ugh! HURRY Rob... I can't wait to smoke your stash!!!!

I'll be there Anthony...hell, I probably hang out there all afternoon when they open...puffing myself into a stupor.

edited to say: Good of you to make it, Elliot! And now I find out that the Yankees game is a day game (1pm) on Thursday!!!!!   Looks like I may have a full day planned out now!

Wow, this is good news! I didn't realize how early you were planning on meeting up. I will have to split by 6:30 (so no dinner for me), but that should be enough time to enjoy a smoke/drink and haze our friend from the left coast... ;)

Alright!
I switched my work schedule to accomodate the herf.
I can be there as early as 3-3:30 now.
What is the consensus on the EHST (estimated herf starting time)?

I vote for 1pm Saturday the 5th of August, 2006! :D

(enjoy the HERF!)

Okay this is the place I want to try out as a cigar lounge: http://www.velvetcigars.com/index.html

If I can get a head count I'll see if I can get a reservation for Thursday. I'm searching for a place near by so we can have a bite to eat before hand. Steve, I guess you will have to dress up :( More to follow.

Heads up if Thursday is a problem, we can shot for Friday.

Not true... I just called them, and they said "no dress code... come however you feel". So all I can say to that is "Bonus!"

Steve

Rob, it looks like their doors don't open until 4pm.

Steve, please don't be "the naked guy" at the herf... ;)

I'll be there between 4:30-5:00. Man Steve as the naked guy is a scary thought!

It was great meeting up with you guys tonight. Thanks to everyone for the fantastic cigars--I'm sure the other folks in the lounge must have been blown away by the frenzied cigar exchanges that were going on! I hope you guys enjoyed dinner, and hope to do it again sometime.

What a great herf!
Make it to the right coast more often Chris!

-Rob

PS. Go Yankees!

edited to add...
The generosity of ALL the brothers in attendance was OUTSTANDING.
And people wonder why I am such a herf whore...
:whistling:

Man O' Man! What a wonderful time spent with some wonderful BOTL's last night. Thanks to the generosities of all, my otterbox contained more cigars than what I started out with.

It was nice meeting Chris (seadub) and his friend Vincent. I think we've convinced Vincent to join CP. I very much look forward to his first post. Having met the guy, I am sure that he will be warmly met by newb's and FOG's alike :whistling: Chris was too left coast for me because of he's laid back attitude and that made me not mind the his a BOSOX fan (just kidding bud). What an easy, pleasant and nice guy to hang and burn some leaf. Anytime you're in town give a call--oh BTW, got any Boli Golds????? :p :D

Herfing with Anthony (ToneNY)was awesome-- thanks to him I smoked my first Sancho Panza---from 98! I nubbed the darn thing. Smooth, woody with hints of sweet caramel and slight tingly finish--hey this is not a review post. What a smoke!

Elliott (Roy R Frush) was another exemplary BOTL. Nice and laid back guy to herf with not to mention generous. Thanks for my stash looking foward to trying them out. Too bad you couldn't stay that long. BTW, got your PM and thanks for the well wishing!

Shout out to Rob (Rob300c)for gifting me to Sosa's. I love them smokes!!! He may be a herf whore but he is very generous, too. (the guy gave a PSP2 to a total stranger, go figure) We actually met a couple of guys who were very nice and the place was small but very friendly.

Rob, I got your number bro, better screen your calls 'coz you'll be expecting moi kickin' back in front of the nice TV you got sooner than later :)

Lastly but certainly not the least is the Ash Master himself. Yup, he wore the crown of ash standing proudly last night. What a fun guy to be with. I found a new level of respect for this guy. He showed us his moves on picking hotties off the street of NYC. We got pictures!!! I guess the cigar in the nose thing really works :) Oh and I think Steve will be going back to the place 'coz of Falco, our very nice and cute bartender. I loved when she came over and checked if we needed anything else--too bad I am married almost 17 years  She could be a cigar girl pin-up for sure!

Yeah, I am back to reality; at work over an hour already--Got home around 11 and got up at 5 AM; while I am sure, right now, all these bums are still fast asleep, except for Anthony of course!

Thank you all and looking forward to the next time!

Joe

Had a great time the Velvet Cigar Lounge is much smaller than we thought from the pictures, but enjoyable just the same. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting Vincent, I think he will be joining soon

As always the generosity exhibited by all is what it's all about. Thank you guys for the great smokes and great time. Chris you know you are always welcome on the East Coast, even though you are a Red Sox fan!

We definitely have to do this again! Yes Joe, I was up at 5:00 this morning and I bet you the rest of those guys are just getting up.

PS: Chris make sure you post the picture of Steve picking up the local talent ;)
