Apple is the first choice, because as far as I am concerned, it should be the only choice. :D

I noticed a bunch of tech questions lately and thought this poll would fit in for a while.

Used to be a W!ndoze guy for 20+ years until OS X came around. Now, I've sold all my PC's and have 2 Imacs and 2 Ibooks. Unix with a pretty face is good. But hopefully this place doesn't turn into Slashdot and we all stop talking about cigars :sign:

Between work and home I cover OS X, Win2K, Win XP, Server 2003, Server 2K, Linux and an AS 400 running AIX.

Aren't macs those silly little boxes we used to play Where In The World is Carmen San Deigo in grade school? :p

Nope, they are the ones with a solid Unix BSD core, modern UI and graphics model, and the users that are utterly amused by all of the anti-spyware, anti-virus crap you have to go through day in and day out. :)

Apple, and Apple only.... went thru 2 PC's within a year and a half and then I saw the light..

Yea but PC's are those annoyingly HUGE machines that sit on your floor next to your chair, compared to these:

. PC are also those virus catchers, many more virus' are written for PCs than Macs
This is there newest Mac

Mac mini

I checked out the IMacs again and I'm still not impressed by the graphic quality. My video card is 10 times better. Is this common among macs?

Well, what do you mean by graphic quality, exactly? Do you mean 3D gaming performance? Do you mean the way the actual video looks?

The video cards in Macs are identical to what are in PCs -- you'll find the same NVidia and ATI cards, etc, etc.

The monitors that Apple offers are generally of much better quality than what you'll get with your average PC, in terms of brightness, contrast, viewing angle, etc... but of course, you pay the premium for 'em.

The video card in the iMac line is pretty weak, I agree. Then again, this isn't their high-end model. In the Power Mac line (G5) you can put any video card you want in there (same ones you use in a PC).

That said, I have a 17" "Lamp Shade" iMac that use daily. Works great for what I need it for (which isn't gaming). ;)

All my machines are running Windows :( . One of these days I'm get off my a$$ and start experimenting with the Suse Linux OS I bought almost a year ago. Id really like to make the switch and get away from the dark side.

Windows XP Home. I'd kill for a mini mac though.

The Mac Mini's are pretty nice -- certainly small and convenient. The video card in them is (as you would expect in such a small package) rather weak. Still, with machine is reasonably speedy for the price.

I have one hooked up to my LCD TV, so when I'm doing game testing work, I can do it from the couch (bluetooth wireless keyboard/mouse) by just flipping the TV input to the DVI connection.

They are selling these things by the truckload.

Well heck, when you get done testing it and get tired of it, I know a good home for it! :D

Your link isn't working but I assume you mean something like these and this, which are state of the art-fast and fully featured. ... please... it's been done. Apple is not the first.

PS. I am not promoting littlepc.com. I just happen to get a quote last week from them for a couple of 1U server's for work and checked out their "miniPC" line.

Personally, for an OS I use Mandrake Linux and Win2000/XP.
