I am working on cleaning up the forum and am considering consolidating the CP Saloon forum (which has beer, wine and spirits subforums) into one.

There is a lot of cross-posting going on, and to me it would make more sense to consolidate Beer, Wine and Spirits into one forum.

Is anyone opposed to this?

Thanks,
Rod

Since all three forums contain mixed content, it doesn't make sense to segregate each category, especially since the activity in those 3 forums isn't heavy. Trying to tidy up the forum a bit.

I like it seperate, but honestly I check the liquor and beer forums all the time so if I just had one place to go, tha would be easier.

The beer and spirits sections seem to get quite a bit of acitivity, at least in my opinion. The wine, champagne, cognac & port section seems to get almost no activity.

I have always found it confusing that there were those 3 sections and then the section underneath. Is there really anything posted in the bottom section that couldn't go in one of the top 3 sections?

Please don't do anything that might make me miss one of AVB's scotch buys.

Since I seldom start a new topic it wouldn't have any affect on me. I use the "View New Content" feature almost exclusively to read the board. It doesn't matter whether they are separate or not.

Either is fine, but I've always been in favor of subforum consolidation so I guess I'd say combine 'em.

I vote no, don't combine them. Since you don't moderate there is nobody to clean up the forums as they stand if there was it would look much better. I do agree that people are posting in the wrong places but combining isn't the answer. JMHO

I too would be against combining since I only sporadically check the beer forum. But whatever happens, happens.
