I am going to a convention for a couple days in the the Hollywood/Los Angeles Area. I will be in town November 9th and leave Sunday the 13th in the afternoon.

Any of you fellow BOTLs live in the area and want to meet. I would love to find a nice cigar friendly resturant and/or cigar shop. I would also like to meet a member of this board since none of you are in my area.

PM me and let me know.

Topped to generate some interest . . .

Wow 20 views and only one PM? I thought we had more West Coast (LA area) members here.

We don't have cigar friendly restaurants or bars in Calif, indoor smoking is banned here. We can only smoke on patios, and there aren't many restuarants with patios. And even if there are, some don't allow smoking. Strange state I live in.

Well how about some good B&M Cigar Shops in the area where I can sit an relax with a good smoke?

JAEwing,

PM'd 'ya yesterday.

I'd be interested in hanging out.
Rod is right about the restaurants around here.
But some do allow cigar smoking...but only outside.
Some, even though listed on cigar-friendly websites, didn't allow me to smoke my cigars!!!

Gordon Biersch in Pasadena allows for cigar smoking outside.
There's also a cigar lounge near-by too.
Just a suggestion.

I thought NYC was bad, can't smoke in a cigar store! LMAO

I'll meet up in Pasadena. I should be around that time. Check out Ceniza Lounge: http://www.cenizalounge.com/

I just emailed the owner to see when he's going to open.

Pasadena is probably your best bet for a place to smoke outdoors. Hollywood is expensive and crowded, plus lots of degenerates out there, hence the name, Hollywierd.

Rod and JAEwing,

the cigar store that is currently open in Old Pasadena (Pasadena's Old Town hang out) is called Cigars by Chivas. Prices are okay...not great, but okay. They have some seats for us to smoke.

But if Ceniza Lounge is open, we'll go there. I've seen it several times, but never open.

Just heard back from the owner. I can probably get us in at Ceniza, though it will be closed to the public at that time still. Maybe we can setup a mini herf there for us LA guys. Who's interested?

HEEEEEEEEELLL yeah!!!

Definitely would love to go!

Too bad I can only smoke 1 cigar in a sitting...I know, I know...I'm a wuss.

Anyway, I'm in!

I am in. How far is that? I hate driving in LA so I will be gettting a shuttle or taxi to and from the air port. Well . . . I dunno . . . maybe I will rent a car. Taxi may be $$$$ to get to the shop in Pasedena so I may rent a car. I will need address and directions.

Also . . . what day/time is best for all of you? I will be getting in Wednes day afternoon so the evening is open. The only night that is not presently open is Friday.

One cigar per sitting!!!??? We shall break you of that bad habbit.

I look forward to meeting with you all.

Cool,

fetterjohn is in (that's if he's available).
So is Rod and of course JAEwing and myself.

Come on South Cali people, HERF...HERF...HERF!

Topped because it got pushed on the page.

Any more California residents want in on this one. Sounds like we are getting a Mini LA/Hollywood Herf going.

All are welcome.

Topped due to a PM I received.

I will email those who replied with my contact info so we can work out the details.

I'd love to meet up with you guys. I'm originally from the valley, so driving home to see the parents and going to Pasadena would work out great for me.

Didn't realize the head honcho of this board lived in Arcadia...interesting :). I agree with Rod about Hollywood, don't want to deal with that scene either. Thanks for finding us a spot to meet too.

It'll be cool to hear you LA guys takes on some good cigar shops / spots in that area. Haven't explored LA yet...

Count me in guys, looking forward to it...and with me added to the lineup, it'll DEFINITELY be a fun time...so join in... :)

Wow sounds like a great plan. I'm on the west side and would be able to make it as long as it's after work hours. I know a LOT of nice places in the beverly hills, century city, area that we could go to also if pasadena falls through either way i'm in. Do we have an exact day and time yet?

Is Ceniza still available? If so i'm in the same boat as godfather I get off at 5:00pm and traffic to pasadena would be at least an hour minimum. I just checked the dates and the 12th seems to be on a saturday so that wouldn't work for me. How about the 11th that friday night?
