CP Southern California Herf - Nov 12, 2005

Wow looks like a great turnout so far, but the 12th is the last home game for UCLA and i'm a season ticket holder. I'll run the idea by the old lady to see if she would mind missing the last game ( she loves cigars, but only smokes cubans). If she doesn't mind missing the last game of the year I'm their. So put me down as a maybe for now.

Reservation for about 10 people (can be changed on day-of) set for 6:00 pm on Nov. 12th, 2005.

A recap of those interested:

JAEwing
Rod
CigarLady
godfather
LGHT
LGHT's Lady
chewbacco
fetterjohn (maybe)

"Come my children, all are welcome, all are welcome. Go into the light. There is peace and tranquility in the light."

More the better. Hope to see you there Matty_Vegas.

By the way . . . identify that quote above and I may send you a prize :whistling:

C'mon its not that hard.

I tried. Google couldn't even pull anything up on that quote!

poltergiest..directed by Tobe Hooper of Texas chainsaw massacre fame...Zelda Rubinstien (as Tangina Barrons)said the lines...

my fave quote from the film is

"Y'all mind hanging back? You're jamming my frequency"

WE HAVE A WEINER . . . er WINNER!

Poltergeist is correct.

Godfather you were first but DAMN! Matty_Vegas you are even a bigger movie geek than I am!

I worked in a video store for over 5 years . . . what is your excuse Matty?

Don't think I'm going to forget about this buddy....

Doesn't look like the Cigar Lounge is going to be able to come through for us. They're still not ready to open. They've been under construction for well over a year now, so I'm not sure if they're even ever going to open the doors.

Maybe we can meet at Gordon Biersh in Old Town Pasadena. They have a large patio with heaters. We can eat, drink and smoke all in one place. Let me know if this is ok with everyone.

Thanks,
Rod

Sounds good. If the weather is nice it may even be better than the cigar lounge.

Would this be after or instead of dinner? If there is food there we can accomplish both at the same time.

I would also assume that we should then BYOS (Bring Your Own Stogies)?? I planned on bringing some anyway since I have no idea where to go to get any once I am down there.

I may or may not be available (internet) while I am down there. Anyone who wishes to contact me after Tuesday should then call my cell phone.

It's a restaurant. They have food, drinks. We bring our own cigars.

Wow looks like a nice turnout and everything comming together, but I won't make it :angry2: Couldn't convince the old lady to miss the last UCLA game of the year because I opted to take buddies to the last 2 and she didn't get to go. Hopefully we can schedule another one some time if so i'm their for sure!!

Gordon Biersch sounds good to me.

I don't think they take reservations...maybe if our group is large enough they will. I'll try to find out.

As for cigars, it'll be best that we all bring some cigars...maybe we can all trade some! That would be cool.

There's a cigar store not far from Gordon Biersch that has a pretty good selection. It's called Cigars by Chivas. It's walking distance.

Looks like LGHT is out.
LGHT, where is the game by the way?
If it's at the Rose Bowl, you still may be able to join us!

So far these are the people on the list:

JAEwing
Rod
CigarLady
godfather
chewbacco
Matty_Vegas (maybe)

The game is at the rosebowl, but it doesn't start until 4:00pm so it won't be until about 8:00pm maybe later depending on traffic until we are out of the door, so if it's late enough I could still swing by for a gar!

Wish this would be easy...

called Gordon Biersch and they WILL NOT accept reservations this Saturday night...the hostess mentioned some football game (I'm assuming the UCLA game).

So, we can take a chance by just showing up.

What should we do?

We can still smoke-up in the cigar store in Old Pasadena...we may need to buy something in order to stay.
