i'm looking to get a cutter but don't want to spend alot of money. i see that cuban crafters have some a good price. can anyone tell me or help me out as to which kind to buy.

Try the Xikar. They are a great lighter and are also guaranteed.

I also bought a few $2.00 cutters, one for the house, car, golfbag, office and other places. The Xikar is not covered if it gets lost or lent out and not returned so I have the cheepies all around just in case.

Xikar for good and yourself.

Cheepies for golf course and other places that the good one can get lost.

Go with a punch . .cheaper, keeps the end neater.

I agree with him. A Punch makes it a lot easier. You don't really have to worry about cutting to far up the cigar and whatnot. I only use my guillotine for torpedoes.

My favorite cutter is my Xikar; but, for the money, I really don't think you can beat the Havana Cutters that Bargain Humidors sells. Here

They're sharp and they're cheap.

I punch most of the time. Keep it on my keyring so I always have it.

I bought a cutter just like that one from CF once. I still use it. It's a great cutter for the price, plus it's got a spring thing which is pretty cool! For a cheap cutter you can leave and lose and not cry about, that's got my vote!

Emo makes me carry around a cutter and a punch in my purse at all times, the only crappy part about that is that it is one of the ones with out a safety and thus I have almost chopped off my finger twice looking for my keys :(

I like the Xikar2 and a little punch. It depends on the mood I'm in really. Almost always punch when I play golf, and for most cigars below a 48 ring gauge.

For the punch, CB seems to have good prices on the rubberized ones, and the Xikar ebay seems to beat out the CB prices.
