I was in Louisville, KY a few years ago. A friend and I were looking for a place to eat, and found out that DAC was in concert there. We had always wanted to see him, yet never had, so it was our perfect chance.

We got tickets, and went to see him. The opening band was pretty good, and as every typical redneck opening band did, played a pretty good version of Copperhead Road by Steve Earle.

DAC came out, and was doing a pretty good show. At that time, he was doing some stuff with Kid Rock, and although Kid Rock wasn't there, DAC was doing some of their stuff. A redneck in the audience didn't like it, and was giving the band a hard time. He eventually stood up, and flicked a cigarette butt at DAC.

The music stopped instantly, and DAC stood there and cussed out the guy, while security tried to get to the guy and escourt him out of the bar. Now, this was a pretty small bar, so the audience went basically right up to the stage.

Security, for some reason, stalled while escourting the guy out of the place right in front of DAC, who was still cussing the guy out. He then KICKED the guy right in the forehead. The guys friends were fighting with the security, but it eventually stalled out and the original guy and a couple of others were escourted out or just left pissed off.

I really thought that a full riot was going to break out. That was my first and only experience at a David Allen Coe concert...
