I asked myself that same question awhile back...

"I will randomly determine Pass order since we don't need to worry about geographic proximity. By random, I mean I'll just assign it according to my whim. - Gavin"

and then I just quit worrying about it. I hate going last, but at the same time it sure gives me the time to do my research.
