I bought the fight. I think it will be well worth the $55. I just hope I can stay up that late.

Dic,

Never liked Mayweather, but he was certainly the better boxer tonight and I was surprised that it was a split decision. De La Hoya looked incredibly slow in comparison to Mayweather.

GO PRETTY BOY FLOYD!!!!!

Don't think it was close enough to call it a split....but good fight nonetheless!

De La Hoya simply got outboxed :sign:

Agreed - although De La Hoya gave Mayweather his toughest fight.

Thta fight absolutely sucked. I am glad my friend payed the 55 for it and all I had to do was bring chips.

1- Mayweather wasn't landing as much as what the unofficial count was, I know, that's why they call it unnoficial, but it wasn't that close any time, they must've had blind guys just listening and guessing who threw the punches.

2- De La Hoya threw no where near 66 punches in the 9th or 10th, don't remember but I remember thinking, De La Hoya is saving his energy for the next round, maybe threw 30 max, then they said he landed 7 out of 66... BS, again unofficial, but nowhere close.

3- De La Hoya landed more than they said he did to. I know that stuff was all unofficial too, and I am glad that the real judging was more accurate, but that was a boring fight, and so was the one before it.

De La Hoya is a great guy and it is a shame to see any sport going to a punk like Mayweather, the guy is a discraceful person and I can't wait until he wakes up that one morning where he is no longer in his prime and gets the absolute shit knocked out of him. Either way, the fight would have been better if they paid someone to take the knockout, or get real fighters like they had for the last 3 decades.

Agree nearly 100%, although I didn't think the fight sucked, just the rest as you stated. I did enjoy the action and thought that the both did get some good punches in even of the refs and the dammed punch computer were absolutely blind. The only part that was really bad was that Mayweather just ran the whole night and only countered, he never really went on the offensive, even after talking all that shit about a massacre....ya right!!

I have never seen anyone jump away from puches with that scared ass look that Mayweather had, I almost cried laughing at him.
