I wonder the same. If she have 2 more kids, celebrating your every birthday than it look like she has a normal family and a normal life. As I know, usually kids are taken away from alcoholic or some pathological families, but here it looks different and a little unusual.

Thanks to all the responses I have gotten from all of you fine BOTL/SOTL....

As for the reason for my adoption, my biological mother was in the navy, and already supporting one son that was 2 years old... He was staying with her parents and she was already sending them like half of her paycheck... She could never see him hardly at all and she said that she could not put another child through the same situation... She wanted to keep me but she said I deserved a better life...

She went with open door adoption and got to choose out my adoptive parents herself... She said she fell in love with them right away and knew it would be the best option for me...

Ya... I would never forget the family who raised me... They ARE my family... I am just excited to be able to learn a bit about myself and start new relationships...

For instance... I am 1/4 Japanese descended from Samurai blood!
