Well, I feel like this forum has become a second home for me as of late you I figure all you BOTL/SOTL should know about a huge pivotal moment of my life...

Well, I have grown up all my life knowing I was an adopted child. I have never really questioned the location or status of my biological parents because as far as I was concerned, my present mom and dad are just that... my parents...
Other than that kind of mild curiousness one has while growing up, I have never been all that aggressive about finding out the details... (maybe out of fear of the unknown...)

The funny thing is, is that my best friend Matt (you all know him as HintOfToast) and I were just carrying on this conversation about adoption about a week and a half ago...

Well out of nowhere my biological mother called me at work yesterday and introduced herself... we had a moment of sobbing and a long conversation ensued... 25 years of catching up needed to be done! :D She is a great woman and I am so glad that that part of my life has come full circle... I also found out that I have an older brother and a younger sister... Very cool in my opinion... To top it all off, my biological mother said that they have never forgotten me and they celebrate my birthday every year. Also my younger sister has a 4 year old baby boy that she named Jayden(spelled differently) in my honor... Kinda makes we all warm and fuzzy on the inside...

I am still in cloud nine over this whole situation and I definitely think a good cigar is in order for celebration...
Thanks for listening guys...

Wonderful news bruddah! If you want this to go further, here's wishing you all the luck I can muster

Jadon.....man, that is GREAT! It's not too often that you hear of adoption reunions that go as wonderful as yours. Your biological mom sounds like a really nice lady, and best of all, you just became an uncle overnight! (Not sure if you were one before, but it's still a trip nonetheless).

If I found out that I secretly had other brothers and sisters running around, I'd probably be in a state of shock for a long time.

Excellent news! The brother/sister thing is really cool as well.

Excellent news Jadon!
Hopefully, this does not come across the wrong way, but did she give you the details on having to give you up for adoption?

Wonderful news and I'm sure, years of thinking about it is a huge relief.

Thanks for sharing, good luck with your reunion, no doubt a lot of good times a ahead for you.

I wonder the same. If she have 2 more kids, celebrating your every birthday than it look like she has a normal family and a normal life. As I know, usually kids are taken away from alcoholic or some pathological families, but here it looks different and a little unusual.

Btw, nice to hear that its a great news for You

Like i said when we chatted the other day...I am SO happy for you...You have a whole new life of possibilities now and I wish you the best!

Super cool! One of my best friends gorwing up was adopted, and it was a topic of many a conversation that he wondered what his biological parents might be like. I am so glad that you found your biological mother/family and it was a wonderful experience.
I'll smoke a good one "with" you tonight.

That is really awesome man. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of feeling that is, but here's to you.

Very cool indeed  . I'm glad things are working out so well for you. Just don't forget your folks who raised you though.

That's great news! Like my stepson says, "I'm lucky, I have two great families!". Wishing you all the luck in getting to know everyone.
