So the end of October the Family and I will be going down for our trip to Disneyland and well I want my cigars. So have any of you gone to the smoking areas in Disneyland and lit up a Cigar. I know it is primarily for cigarette smokers but hey we all have out loves. Do the Disney Cast members get on your case people walking buy flip out and fire off an extinguisher on you. I know I cant wonder the park and smoke (Walt would roll over in his Grave He use to smoke Cigars) but man it would be awesome to sit there on the banks of the rivers of America and light up an one of the Finest ISOMS in my box. And you know I will take lots of pics for my BOTL to enjoy. Thanks for the info rp
 
I haven't been to DisneyLand, but my wife and I took our kids to DisneyWorld this past spring. Inside the park there were some inconvenient designated smoking areas plus a couple of cigar stores. I didn't walk around smoking but I also didn't see anyone else. I am fairly positive that you are not allow to smoke except in those designated areas. You should call and they will explain the policy. While the kids had some downtime in the hotel, the wife and I sat on the balcony of the hotel (we stayed on the property at the Polynesian) and enjoyed some cocktails and I had a couple of cigars. That btw was pretty much against the rules as well.

Just a side note - we shipped a lot of stuff, including liquor, to the hotel and it was waiting there for us when we arrived. I would highly suggest this. Disney is great for the kids, but you will absolutely pay for it.

Well I am a big Disney fan and as far as Disneyland I am more excited then my son lol The boy wants to go but I have a calendar at work and on the computer ticking it down to the hour when we leave lol. I know where the smoking area's are in Disneyland and really they are not to bad as for out of the way area's One is right next to the Matterhorn one next to the rivers of America. I just wanted to know about in those area's to they flip out if you light up a cigar Thanks I cant wait lol rp
 
the smoking areas in animal kingdome were the best and I saw pleanty of cigar smoke. But i got to say corona cigar co was nice.

Disneyland is great. My wife and I go as often as we can, since its only an hour and a half away from us. We have season passes. I never bring a cigar to smoke, but I do see people smoking them in the smoking areas, so I would guess you'll be fine.

It doesn't sound too relaxing smoking a cigar in a designated smoking area. In my mind I picture a jail cell type area. ;)

Yeah it stinks they put you in a set area but from what I can tell it is just an area in the park like the spot on the rivers of America where they allow smokers kinda an out of the way are. Heck it would be nice get out of the crowed sit back and light up.

From the Book I read Walt smoked a pipe but he never turned down a good cigar.

And come on How fun would be be to light up a ISOM in Disneyland haha thanks for the info stay tuned pic's to come rp
 
I haven't been to Disneyland in nearly 10 years. I'm more of a Knotts Berry Farm fan, especially since the prices are MUCH more reasonable at Knotts. Oddly enough, I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow! I remember when I was a kid, there was a really cool cigar shop on Main Street. Even back then I was infatuated with cigars, don't know why. :D It's too bad they took the shop out, I would have loved to have seen it as an adult.

I will pay close attention to smoking spots when I go, and will watch out for cigar smokers. I'm pretty sure there will be few smoking spots, and those that exist will probably be more for cigarette smokers (short smokes). Nevertheless, I'll keep an eye out...
 
I went to Disney Land in Orlando on my Boot Camp Liberty. It was one building in the middle of the biggest swamp I'd ever seen, with a 3d map inside of what it was going to look like. We were the only people there. We had it all to ourselves. Fuggin' Navy.

You are talking about the Disneyland in Southern California, RIGHT?!?! Because, if so, enjoy your freakin' 5' X 5' designated "Smoking Area" where patrons are given tomatoes to throw at you. And I am DEAD serious, except for the tomatoes. Ain't no fuggin' Rivers of Africa or America or whatever... IT SUCKS. PM Member 42 about it, and he'll tell you more specifics.


Also, stay away from the "Cigar Cart" in Downtown Disney area, or you can happily pay $26 Disney-rape-bucks for a Padron #2000. It's great! :thumbs:

Went to Disneyland this weekend, and only saw one designated smoking area, and you probably wouldn't want to smoke a cigar there. The park is pretty much smoke-free.

Thanks for the info the map shows a few areas I will put on my rain suit and light up that way when the PC people start hurling stuff at me I will be dry lol Pics to come! Ohhh and Rod How was the trip! rp
 
Disneyland? I avoid that place like the plague. A lot of people go there which is why I avoid it. I get too easily irritated by crowds.

Most people seem to do the dual park thing, and if you do, California Adventure Park is where you'll be able to do the most of your smoking. It's much more adult oriented, while still retaining that saccharine Disney'ish feel. The designated smoking areas are mainly interspersed park benches with adjacent upright ash tray receptacles.

There's also a pool bar area of the Disneyland Hotel just a short walk away which allows smoking (including cigars). Also, two cigar bars within 5 miles (in different directions), if you had that kinda time and inclination. Where are you staying? PM me if you're interested and if I don't get back to this thread.
 
I PM'd you some local info. The cigar gist, for those interested in this thread, consists of this:

There are two other nearby cigar shops which come to mind. Maxamar (Ultimate) Cigars in Orange and The Diamond Crown Lounge (formerly Red Cloud), owned by 8eightyeight, in Fullerton. Maxamar's is like smoking at a buddy's place. It's got a neighborhood feel and is fairly priced. No booze, but you can bring your own in. Diamond Crown is like drinking in a nice sports bar. The drinks are a buck or two above average price, but the ambiance makes up for it if you like the elegant sports bar type environment. You can smoke at the front of the shop of Diamond Crown no problem, but you need membership to access the rear bar area. Let me know if you'd like to go and I can use my membership to meet you there and get you in. I'm not far from there. Oh, and both cigar shops have pretty good selections. If I had to buy my own, Maxamar has a wider selection at better pricing. Diamond Crown Lounge is franchised through the JC Newman family line and, thus, they have a very good selection of high end Newman and Fuente cigar lines.

The "other" cigar shop referenced at the beginning is The Cohiba Lounge over at The Block at Orange. I suggested avoiding this place (and I'm not even sure it's still there). I have an extremely poor opinion of the place in regards to its selection, pricing and (lack of) knowledgeable staff. It is what it is, and it caters to the youthful nighttime oriented drinking crowd of its neighboring bars.
