Do you find yourself wanting to smoke your rare/expensive sticks, but

I have an expensive mistress already with the Scotch and Bourbon collecting. When I get the good stuff in cigars I'll smoke it. It may sit for a year before I get to it but it all burns eventually.

I find myself doing the 'balance' thing that our aged hippie dude BBS mentions. I smoke a few, gift a few, and save a few more. I find that smoking by myself (which I do quite a bit :( ) it's not as much fun when it's a 'hoity-toity' cigar. Part of the whole cigar thing (for me at least) is the enjoyment of sharing the expirence.

So some of my more rare stuff still sits, awaiting some poor fool that decides to visit. Not that they will get one, a la Cory and the Dunhills :whistling: , but sitting with someone that knows what cigar is what, and asks questions, enjoys the aroma, and can enjoy being party to the torching of such a fine cigar is way more enjoyable to me than sitting there with the damn crows and chickadees as my only companions. And Porter... well, he'll just try to steal the damn thing from me!

Edited to add they will be burned at some point... nothing I have has been in my possession for more than 2 years! And if I die before I smoke them, they're getting cremated with me so I get to smoke them anyways. Screw all you - no one else is getting them! :p

Every day I'm walking this earth is a special occasion for me. I smoke whatever I feel like smoking at the time and what I have time for. To be honest, most of what I've "held onto" has not lived up to the hype I imposed upon it by keeping it separate.

Having said that, there is one smoke I have right now that is waiting for something monumental, a Don Carlos Aniversario. If I ever get my hands on a Padron Millenium, I will keep that until my next birthday. Everything else is fair game anytime I'm smoking.
