I mean it all sounds good and all. I've just never heard of a Maduro cuban? Or is that to say that they are really really dark? Just interested you know

I believe most of the EL's are maduro...... the Cohiba DC definately is :thumbs:
 
The last years ALL Limited Edicion cigars from Cuba have MADURO wrapper.
Guys, you don´t meen to say that you didn´t know this !!!
It could ofcourse be that you newer smoked one of the EL in the last couple of years and don´t know but what if you DID smoke one and didn´t NOTICE the mild sweet taste of the wrapper, in that last case, shame on you.

Indeed! :D

Depends on your definition of maduro I guess. It's the Spanish word for ripe. The EL's do use a specially selected leaf from the top of the plant which is aged for two years. They are very dark and very tasty :)
 
I've just never seen them advertised as "maduro". Are the manufacturers using this term in there literature?
