Electronic Cigarette

Those people look like complete tools. Your going to go out of your way to buy an electric cigarette and look terrible smoking it, and at half the price just get a pack of fags and be done with it.
 
I ordered an e-cigar yesterday actually. I bought it so I can smoke inside the house, not to use in public. I smoked for many years and now I dip. I'd love an alternative way to get nicotine that might not kill my lungs or lose my teeth. Hell I payed less than what a pack of nicorette gum costs. Hopefully it will work.

I canceled my order today. It has been 3 days and still not shipped. From what I've read online the Olympics has slowed everything down(its coming from China). I am going to place an order from a US supplier here. I have read great things about their customer service. But be aware that these devices are still new and may be a hit or miss. But they will replace it if not working or atomizer goes bad.
 
eh, if it makes people quit smoking thats great.

The problem most people I know have is that smoking cigarettes is something that has alot of social implications to it, hanging out with the guys at the back of the bar, late night backyard parties. Those memories are a large factor of addiction. The e-cig can't really replace that nor would you want to whip out the e-fag at the bar and smoke up.

I wanted to revive this thread and swallow my own words.

Since I read about the eCigarette here I went and started doing some research and ultimately ended up buying one from here. Since then I have stopped smoking all cigarettes (I didn't smoke many daily to begin with 2-5). However I already feel a bit better.

My only concern is with the propylene glycol, which is used in the cartridges and creates the vapor that is exhaled. I assume its better then cigarettes though and I should be able to ween myself off the ecigarette using the high/medium/low strength carts over time.

I haven't given up my cigars though, I'm just tired of dirty cigarettes and the far serious risks from them.
 
Good to hear. I tried to cancel my order but it seems they went ahead and shipped it anyways. It will be here 7-10days. So I'll still post my review on the e-cigar.

Basically think of these things as personal smoke machines. The "Atomizer" as its called is just a heating element which turns the PG to vapor, that PG liquid also contains some nicotine. The inhaled vapor seems to the the thing most of the esmokers are questioning. If the FDA study was only for PG in liquid form there might be a need for a new study. Most believe excessing cigarette smoking is far worse than the inhaled PG. idk either way, but it is different and less stinky than cigarettes.

My guess, the local news will be running blips on eCigarettes in about 3 months.
