Came across a thread that had been put together on CW regarding bourbon. (There was another very interesting one on single-malts).

Evan Williams was discussed as a single source for everything from straight from the still bourbon all the way up to 15 year old bottlings. Saw this at the local state store for $9.95/fifth and figured it would at least be good for week killer.

What a nice surprise! Smooth, smoky, nice taste of char, not overpowering. And if it's 10 bucks here, it ought to be much cheaper elsewhere.

Definitely worth trying.

$10-11 is about the norm for Evan Williams which is pretty cheap for a 7 yo Bourbon. They do make a nice Single Barrel too at about $25 and there was a 23 yo export only that was superb.
