I remember getting my blood stripe like it was yesterday. After walking the gauntlet I couldn't run for the next 3 or 4 days but they don't really do that any longer. Pass my warmest congrats to your new NCO when you get the chance Tom.
 
Thanks so much to everyone. As you may have guessed, I am in fact BBS's son. He's been telling me to get on this forum and what better way to start then now.

Oh, and Donzz, not only did I get hooked up by my shop, I had to go shoot a pistol competition that night....may have hurt my times (a little hard to run from position to position) but I went with a good buddy of mine who just picked up Sargent so it was fun. I am one sore dog today though.
