Ok I know this is going to sound weird but, I just moved back to Guatemala and while taking a walk in our local tourist town I noticed a wine and cigar shop, so I stopped in to see what I could find. Well I found a couple of Cohiba's (Cuba). But very cheap in my mind, only cost me about $7 each :0

What's going on here I wondered to myself, after careful inspection they seemed real, well at least the label did and since I've never smelled one before I didn't have anything to put it against!! So I snatched a couple, figured what the hey, if they are fake, whatever at least I'll find out right and I'll know, I mean the price is kinda fishy I thought. So I smoked the first one that night at the beach. Well it wasn't exactly what I had expected, I've had better. But it wasn't that bad, I've had worse from top names. So since to my untrained eye I think I got a real one, I would like to put it to the test, the second one I haven't smoked yet, looking to this weekend. I'm posting the pics here let me know what you think??

Couldn't find a ruler, so I'll tell you, it measures 4 3/4 in. exactly.

Hell if I know, but send one to Ginseng for verification. If it came out of a glass top box, you my friend have struck gold

I'm a novice at best, I'm comparing the shots here with your band. The gold seems a bit off, along with the Habana Cuba font/size.

Also, if you didn't get what you expected that might be worth note.

Can we get a straight on shot of the foot?

Oh my.

I usually proceed under the premise that a suspect cigar is authentic and then look for clues and indicators that will disprove that hypothesis. In this case, the band is not that bad except for rough cutting at the upper and lower edges. The cigar itself, though, is truly hideous. The wrapper and construction are horrific.

It's essentially a certainty that these are not authentic Cohibas.

Funny, when I'm without a ruler, the only cigar I can definitively tell you the length of is the double coronas/prominente at 7 5/8" :whistling:

Clearest picture I can get. I know it sucks. About this whole ruler ordeal couldnt find one at the moment of taking the picture, found one later and measured, what's the big deal!?

Yeah that's why I asked what he paid... Looks more like a dog turd with a band on it than a cigar :)
