I damn sure am! I love Fallout, both Fallout 1 and 2 and to a lesser degree Fallout Tactics rank way up in my top ten computer games of all time.

And it looks like Betheseda Software Works (The makers of Elder Scrolls, Morrowind and Oblivion) Are seriously doing a damn fine job of carrying the game into the new century.

Any other Fallout freaks out there?

Yes, I am Excited. I've been waiting for this for the past 9 years. I pre-ordered the insane package from Amazon. Holy canoli I cannot wait till October 25th.

You have no idea how big this is to me. I've played fallout 2 through every summer for the past 9 years (add in fallout a few times and fallout tactics a few times). I'm a sucker for anything post apocalyptic, and these games have so many hidden references to mad max and other little things, so much fun.

Only sad part is that it's the size of Oblivion, and has over 200 endings. Come October 25th, I'll no longer have a life.

I built a new PC a few weeks ago solely for the purpose of playing this game.

Well, and heavy duty photoshopping and drawing and rendering and AutoCADing.....but mostly for Fallout 3.
 
Plan on getting it for 360 strictly because of achievements.

Between this and Fable 2, BAH GAHD!
 
Being a HUGE Oblivion fan, I am psyched about this game coming out. I can't wait. I haven't played played a Fallout game before so I hope I won't be to out of the loop story wise, but I'm sure I'm still going to love it.
 
excited would be an understatement....

I don't think I'll be able to pick this up on release day, or week for that matter, because I've re-entered college, this BS is expensive without a summer job. I doubt I'll even have the time, I can barely manage my courses, sports, and one or two cigars a week. Been following Fallout 3 for about a year though, I am very excited to see it in action... Game of the Year material, I am sure.

I'm an Oblivion fan as well, but even more of a Morrowind fan. I've never played any Fallout games, but it looks interesting enough that I'll probably give it a shot.

Crap, I'm going to need to build a new system soon, too. :laugh:
 
I have played all the Fallout games (multiple times). My fiancee thinks I'm excited about the game than our wedding in Oct.

Go to Youtube and look up the E3 video where someone is running the demo with the projectile cannon. He shoots a teddy bear at some bandit and he frankly EXPLODES. Its really awesome looking. Blood mess FTW.

October 25th is so damn far away.

It was scheduled for October 5th when I ordered it, the girls birthday is October 6th. She said something about how I'd better not be playing that game on her day or something like that, I dunno, I wasn't really paying attention, I was busy reading what the pre order package included.

Hell yeah... but I wonder if it was really worth the wait. I mean 11 years is a long time.


Apparently Fallout 3 is a big deal. I have a friend who is going to buy a 360 just to play it. I guess I'll be seeing what the hype is about soon enough.

Played this last night for 3 hours. Pretty good game so far. Not exactly a first person shooter. Reminds me of Mass Effect.
