I'm going to check it out. The Silver Surfer is one of my favorite story arcs in the Fantastic Four. The SS looks pretty good. I want to see how Glactus looks though.

Yeha, Galactus is supposedly a cloud.

Let me repeat that..... A CLOUD!

WHAT THE FRIG!!!! a cloud!?!?!?! They got Silver Surfer right (except the eyes.... surfer has no pupils, thus making him seem more demonic/ominous). Yeah yeah, I know.... details! But you gotta have that garb and uber spectacular head gear for Galactus (not a cloud for Cloudactus!).

A friggin cloud??!?!

What a revoltin' development!

Yep, Galacticus is a cloud of sorts, no anthropomorphization here at all.. as for the movie, it was better than the original Fantastic Four movie by far (which isn't saying much)... I enjoyed it.

I didnt want to give it away but yeah the big G is a cloud...BUT..the movie was great...i live with a comic book geek and his friends are comic book geeks..some of them thought it was ehhhhhh and some thought it was really good...but what i try and make them understand is these movies with comic book characters are made for folks not into that...for the most part...i really thought it was a good movie...and all of the comic book "people" had mixed reviews..go figure...but i think definitely worth the $$

Thanks for the info Melly. I hope to take the family to see the movie and I am sure that they will love it.

Oh, you have got to be kidding me.

When are these moviemakers going to realize that the reason their adaptations work is because of the comic book history behind them, not in spite of it. Witness, the Hulk, Godzilla, etc.

Fercrissakes, writers and directors think they can make things better, bigger, their own and just end up pissing on the faithful.

Well I know we are all looking forward to seeing it. I never followed many comic books except X-Men cause ya gotta love Wolvie! But X-Men 3 did piss me off quite a bit so I can see where the comic book fans are coming from. But either way, I just usually go for the action, a good plot and snappy dialog go with it. If it's a book or comic-to-movie then I hope for a similar storyline.

see there are two ways of looking at a movie... There's the regular way in which someone says, "that movie was entertaining and fun to watch." or "it sucked I''m sorry I watsed my time and money. The other way is the MARTIN way. In which everything is analyized and ripped from inside out. Picked a part piece by piece exposing each terrible detail...

Hope you all enjoy the film!
