I mentioned in another thread, but I've got a friend that I visit in Georgia at least once a year to play golf with. He puts us up, covers greens fees, etc, and vegetarian treats us like kings while we're there, so I always take him a box of cigars (he'll smoke 5 churchills during a round of golf, damndest thing I've ever see). He like Connecticut wrappers, and recently went on a tour of the farms in Estelli, so I got him some LGC the last time, but am going back in November so looking for recommendations.

I smoke very few Connecticut's at this point, but I've really been enjoying the Southern Draw Morning Glory at a local B&M.
 
Same here, I tend to avoid most of them, plus I don't really smoke Churchill sized cigars either so can't help much there. Undercrown Shade isn't bad, though, and can be found pretty reasonably priced for the toro.
 
Oliva Connecticut Reserve are very good, IMO, and not too spendy (the Montecristo Whites have gotten ridiculous). Right now CI has a box of 20 + 10 Churchills for $218, $7.25 a stick for 30. Solid choice.


I don't know how discriminating your friend it, but I've always enjoyed Gilberto Oliva Reserva Blanc and CI has a box of Churchills = 10 cigars for $156, or $5.20 per stick. That's a solid value.


Rocky Patel Connecticut are also good, and CI has them on sale for $95 for a box of 20, or $4.75 per stick.


La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut are phenomenal, IMNSHO, and a box of 25 Churchills is $212 at CI, or $8.50 per stick. I've had them and I have a bunch of Montecristo White, and I think the LADC are just as good or better. Certainly as good, at half the price.



Those ought to keep you busy, looking at other sites for better deals.
