Here's my list

1.)Iguana Maduro robusto
*Lots of smoke
*No burn or wrapper issues
*Excellent taste
*Is often overlooked because of the candela version which is absolutely disgusting.

2.)Colina Petite Corona
*Mixed-filler natural from Costa Rica
*Won on CBid, wonderful aftertaste and aroma

3.)Punch London Club Maduro*Tastes like toast
*Also has a wonderful aroma and aftertaste

4.)Quo Vadis
*Now a long-fil version, the churchill is dirt-cheap
*Natural wrapper, excellent flavor and no burn/wrapper issues at all

What's yours?

For me every cigar is a yard gar as it's the only place I'm allowed to smoke. In the winter it's the garage for me :)

The two that I really like are the:

1. Alec Bradley, Trilogy Native Cameroon Robusto
2. Don Collins Corona from Puerto Rico

I don't do any lawn work, but for sitting on my patio on a nice sunny day, or my everyday smoke if you will, I have two.. RASCC and San Cristobal - El Principe's.

I just got some Boli CJR's so I'll see how they are and add them to my list if they are as good as some say.

I have become very fond of the Flor de Oliva's with a maduro wrapper. I also have some Perdermo mistakes and extras that are aging a little in the 'dor. Haven't tried either of them yet.

tone-ny:I just bought a box of Trilogy native cameroons. I had the exotic maduros before-I won a fiver on CBid about seven months ago. I really, really, enjoyed the maduro and just wanted to see if the cameroon was worth a darn. I haven't had the opportunity to open one up yet, so it's just resting in my coolidor until all the darn snow goes away which given my luck, won't be until mid-february. I haven't heard much about the corojo that they make that comes in a green band and box, but I do want to try that one sometime, not a bad price either for any of them.

lucasbuck: I have to agree that the Quintero isn't a bad smoke. That's a machine made Cuban right? I had one last summer and just loved it. It had a great taste and I had no problems with the wrapper at all.

Yep. But for inconsistent construction they can hold their own with many hand mades.

la vieja habanas cheap and even though they have a sandwich filler hold their ash well.

Those Perdomo "mistakes" are a pretty good cigar

I've tried to smoke cigars while working in the yard or on my stonewalls but I find it too much of a pain in the a$$ so I gave up.

Cigars for under $2.00?:

Quintero Brevas

I hear that these are Puros Indios seconds. I see them a lot in CI's catalog and have been very curious about them. The price and quantity of cigars you get for them on CI seems too good to be true. I see the print ad for them and just can't believe my eyes. What?, are they plugged?, dried out?...I just can't believe that a good smoke would come in a bundle of 25 for what they charge for 'em. I'll have to make these one of my next purchases, perhaps a box-split since they are so expensive.  :whistling:

I use to smoke AF Curly Head Deluxe for a yard gar. They're short filler but an excellent cigar. If you look hard enough you can find them under $2 each if buying by the box.

Another was Punch Rothchild Double Maduro. Its been a while.

I'd say today my cigar of choice for a yard cigar is a Cuban Belicoso SG
Padron Palma isn't a bad choice either.

Is it better than the padron Fuma?

:0 No contest! The only Padron I would consider over any Quintero is the '26 at about 10x the price.

I enjoy the Fuente Chateau Sungrowns as a daily and yard smoke.

I have a lot of these as a "regular smoker".

Regular Puros Indios are pretty reasonable and can be obtained on Satan's own site (c-bid) around that $2.00 mark.
