I was at work today when my wife called and said "you have to come home. William (our 8 month old baby) has a temperature of 104." I raced home to find that we had to wait for an hour and half before we could see a doctor. He seemed fine when I left this morning. So at 4:00 we went to the doctor for our 4:15 appointment. At 5:00 the nurse finally calls us in. They ran some tests and he tested positive for the flu and so it begins... We feel horrible. It is so hard to watch your baby suffering. And its very clear, from his expressions, that he doesn't understand why he feels so ****ty. Has anyone been in this boat before (ie. with their infant)?

My girlfreinds grand son has it. Runing temp. of 103.
try a bath in luke warm water it helps. his temp dropes to 99 in 1 hr.
I hope it workes for you.
I know how you feel it ripes my heart you. :(

Sorry to hear about that. I remember those days with our son.

Hope yours get better soon.

Think quite a few of us have been there Blair, but it never seems to help when your are there. :( Keep us posted as he gets better. ;) Prayers are there for all of ya bro. Hang in there. ;)

Sorry to hear that Blair! I hope your son feels better soon!

There has been some nasty stuff going around lately!!

Thanks guys. He is finally asleep. We'll see for how long. Honestly, baby Tylenol works quite well. I might buy stock! His temperature went down and he was smiling again. He's so weak though. Overall, day 1 - scary, but not too bad. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Thanks for the replies.

My cousins recently had a baby and they said the baby tylenol made him kidn fo spacey and cranky. I think he was teething or something I forget why they gave it to him.

Just letting you know.

And don't worry, it'll be fine. Kids get sick, that's what happens. He will appreciate your love when he grows up!
