Did they actually cite any real data or science behind the reasoning to take such drastic measures? I'm just curious the spoon-fed shit they heaped on the citizenry to justify doing this to premium handrolled cigars? Was there a referendum or forum on any of it? Or say, idk.. an actual vote maybe?

I'm also curious what the industry did to fight this.. if anything. I'll wait to hear from our northern neighbors first.. before trying to pry some answers from the Google fairy.
