For those of you that share a bed

As you lay in bed, the man sleeps:

Call me old fashioned, but I always sleep on the side closest to the door. It does not matter where we have lived together or even when we are traveling, I always end up on this side of the bed, sometimes without intentionally doing so. My Grandmother delivered this advice to me along with other things such as the male-figure should walk on the side closest to the street. I guess my purpose in life is to fight off intruders or get hit by a car.
 
Mike sleeps on the right side...but the way our room is layed out and in relation to the door, it doesnt matter, we are the same distance from the door really...BUT...he keeps the gun on his side of the bed so he can reach it fast if need be for intruders and such...

Always the side closest to the wall (right, if you're in bed). The wife likes the side closest to the bathroom for some reason.

I feel exactly the same way. I believe it has to do with honor my friend. :thumbs:
 
I'm on the right because it's closer to the outside door. Every time we travel or have moved I always have slept closest to the door. When we moved to this house, there was a door on both sides. I asked my wife which side she wanted and I got what I got. Her side is closest to the bathroom and is the dogs' side of the room.
 
Very strange thread, but...

I sleep on the right side of the bed.
It's been that way for 26 years... :laugh:
 
Not sure why I sleep on the left side. It has always happened to be closest to the door....maybe subconcious protector kicking in. Though the bad guy is screwed no matter what because we both have guns in close proximity. I have trained her well. Muah-hah-hah!
 
No difference. Today I slep on left side, and two nights before on a right one :)
 
After reading and thinking, I think I have always slept on the side closest to the door. Funny, I wounder how much of that is the subconscious.
