So I keep trying to solve the mystery of the cheap Buena Vistas (especially since they've become a part of my weekly rotation) and I found something interesting -

Not sure if any of you knew this, but appartently the same people who made Buena Vista created a second cigar as well - called Maravilla. (http://mgmcigars.com/)

The boxes look exactly the same (accoridng to photos on the MGM website) but the cigar itself is a different blend.

I can only find these cigars in one place (http://www.cigarpage.com/maravilla-cigars.html) sold as bundles, but they're about 1.50 a cigar for a 20 bundle, so I'm taking the leap.

Just wanted to bring this to any interested individuals' attention in case you too are looking for something new with a worthy pedigree at a severe discount.

If anyone has tried these, let me know! I'm curious to know if I'm wasting 20 bucks on a bundle of dog-rockets. :)

Interesting, I just ordered a bundle also on a hope..   You'll have to let me know if you get yours before me and I'll update here as well once I receive

Bahaha. Couldn't help it Ed... It just didn't feel right buying all of the remaining stock myself... had to give my fellow BOTL's a chance to get some too.

MGM Cigars is "headquartered" in Miami of course. The address comes back to a residence. I'm going to stop snooping at this point as I don't want to ruin the mystique....or I can knock on the door and invite myself in.

20.00 is far from a waste for a bundle IMHO. Post a review for us please.

Do it.

Smoked one of these last night and I enjoyed it.   I don't have the gift of pulling flavors out of a cigar to tell everyone what I am tasting but I can say its well constructed and smoked very nicely.   Flavor (whatever it is) was nice and I am looking to smoking another one.  Heck I just ordered two more bundles, one to age and one to help my golf game.
