As these were the only SG's in my dealers humi, I picked up a fiver. What a pleasant surprise!!

Don't usually care for either very short or very long sticks, but this was a great experience. Flawless wrapper and construction, nice, firm draw, solid white ash that held
for as long as I cared to let it.

Slow-burning, no bitterness, taste was consistent right to the end which was nubbed.
Pre-light flavor and aroma very rich and complex, bouquet a mix of floral and leathery components. At 4.75/stick, this is one that I'll be looking for again, as well as any of the
other black-banded Fuentes that may turn up. Still haven't seen an 8-5-8 in the humi though.

Rating: Easily a 90+

You're talking about the A.F. Chateau SG not the A.F. Cuban Belicoso SG correct? If so these can be had for about $60-$65/box at some internet retailers

Yup that's the one. TampaSweethearts got me confused when they illustrated the Chateau with a green band and the Chateau Cuban with the black. forgot you had to got to the order page to see all the variations.

I thought that 5 inches seemed a little long....

AF Chateau Fuente SG 4 1/2"x50 box of 20
Smokershub has them for $58.31, they do charge $8.50 for shipping, but still a great deal.

I'd be in on a box split in about a month if anyone is interested.

Normally I wouldnt do a split on a low cost cigar, but some unexpected medical bills has thrown my budget way out of wack... plus I rarely buy a box of cigars without haveing smoked one, and I've never had this AF.

FWIW i have an old box of the double chateaus in the bottom of the igloo. they have developed some beautiful bloom under the individual cedar wrappers and are smoking like a dream...had one yesterday.
