While in Florida I visited the Funky Budda Brewery. It was a really cool place, was curious if anyone else had ever been there. Tried some interesting beers, a couple of the better ones were a Key Lime Pie beer and a Pip's Paddle.

Also in the same general area I went to Ft. Lauderdale Ale, while a smaller brewery will less choices I felt their beers were better. Smoother brown ales and more flavor. This was a neat little place in like a warehouse area, kinda hard to find, if you didn't know where it was you wouldn't know it was there.  Very interesting trip.

Never heard of that one.  Big news around here is my fave local 'new guys', Heathen Brewing, is opening a taphouse and restaurant in downtown Vancouver.  Man, they make some tasty beverages.

Their "Son of Malice Double IPA" is smoooooth, and drinks wonderfully.  At 8.7% is sneaks right up on you....;-)

I had some of the Funky Budda stuff while at the Hunapuh release from Cigar City a few years ago. They have some nice beers.

Yep, I was just there in May... Good brews, they didn't have the kitchen at that time but the food truck was good.
