AVB how come they don't have any photos of BAM's slingin iron?

Thanks Ray got to wait till I get home. The server at work only shows some picturesand I can't figure it out.

Where did you find this picture?

I'm guessing it is not an actual 'dating' post. I would, however, have no reason to believe that the photo is staged, she looks like the real deal. So did somebody just take the photo, type the crap underneath it and post it somewhere?

Who cares, I know. I'm just curious. Great photo though, thanks for posting it.

Answered my own question: she was featured in Airman magazine. Wow, what a woman...

Got it on in an email and just had to share.

Loved the line about dislikes.

She really is a gunner on a helicopter and not on a C130. Here is the official USAF link.

I doubt it, flying is crappy job for a women or men in the military. A gunners job is serious business, especially since we've been involved in Enduring/Iraqi Freedom. I'm sure Loopaka and Tremayne can attest to this. Not many enlisted women stay flying after their initial enlistment. I don't know what the actual statistics are but they can't be good.

all i think about is some crazy gunner yelling. "GIT SOME"

Alas, my dad's best buddy was a crew chief and gunner during Vietnam. I'm not sure I would have wanted to have that job. His UH-1 was shot down 3 times, the third time making him a POW with a broken back. That's pretty crappy odds if you ask me. I fly remote control helicopters and can fully attest to how fragile they are when they hit the ground. People don't realize that the rotating mass of the blades will tear apart a heli far beyond what gravity alone will do.

I like to say that my RC helis are a thousand parts flying in formation. If one part gets outa formation, its toodles for the rest. And my butt isn't on the line inside one.

You can keep the full size helicopters for the crazy folks.

Helos are most accurately mathematically modeled as a rock, at least that's how they're looked at in my line of work. Godspeed to anyone that flies or is flown in those things.

Very nice. I have a lever gun myself...of course I don't look that good in a bikini.

I think if I could only have 1 gun, it would be a General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger. wiki link

i think you'd have a problem putting that one up to your shoulder, and if you did, you'd probably be getting scraped up a few blocks away from the recoil.

neat gun, but I'd rather have an XM214 Minigun mounted in a pivot mount from the roof of my Avalanche for all my post apocolyptic/natural disaster baddy killing needs. It would also be a pretty nice thing to have for traffic control.
