Gearheads, I need your help!

Ugh. So it’s frozen? Needs a new drivers side turbo?
I’m not sure if it’s the actuator or the gate itself. This weekend I’ll disconnect the actuator and see if the gate moves freely or not. If it’s the gate, I’ll either have to free it up, rebuild it or replace it. Truth be told, if the turbo comes off, a new one is going on..

Ya. If it’s the actuator that seems straightforward enough to replace. But if it’s the gate itself, I’d recommend the turbo and the actuator (if it comes separate).

You might be able to find a place that sells reman turbos for less and would take the old one as a “core”, to save a few more bucks.
