Genghis Khan

I liked it. It starts out a bit earthy, and then develops into a nice smooth smoke. It burned perfectly as well. For the price these can be gotten for on cbid, I say go for it.

What do people think of these sticks. Was thinking of purchasing a box.Any suggestions?
yup, smoke a couple before you commit to a box. No matter what anyone says you may not like them.

Doc.

I agree with Doc. I can't tell you how many boxes I got because friends recommended them and I ended up not being as excited by them as they were.

On another note, DOC, are you Navy or ex-Navy? If you are or were, I have to tell you that you whipped our butts during Army Navy last month. Maybe next year we can return the favor!! As we say around here, GO ARMY BEAT NAVY!! HOOOOOAAAHHH!!!
:D

Well the reason I was asking was that the tax in Ca is outrageous so for what it costs to get a handful of cigars you can almost buy a whole box on the web. Also have tried other gurhka products and found them enjoyable. But had not seen the Khans in this area. And was going to use the box when finished as a bottom to a lamp as the one lamp I am making now is made up of empty cigar boxes.

Ret. Navy. Once a Doc, always a Doc. And yup, Canoe U sure kicked Army's ass. Won a nice pkg. of smokes from a West Point employee who's a member here.

The picture of these on Gurkhas website looks like a barber pole (like a BTL), but on cbid they aren't that way? Is it just the double corona that is like that?

I've had some Genhgis Khans and they are not barber poles. Not sure what that's about.

On Cbid you might see a Gurkha lot called Special Edition Dos Capas, and their picture shows a barber pole.

From the CBid lot description:

Whoa. <--- (said in a Keanu Reeves-like voice)

This monstrous, alluring special edition Gurkha is the latest creation from the Torano factory and Kaizad Hansotia. Produced once per year, this majestic 8.5"x52 titan offers "dos capas," or two wrappers, draped around the cigar in a barber pole fashion. The interplay of true Cameroon leaf with the well-cured Habana 2000 wrapper creates a very polished yet zesty taste.

Category: 5-PACKS
Cigar Size: 8.5" x 52 ring

Don't know how it tastes, and god damn its a big vitola.
