Hey guys and gals, I deploy tomorrow for a 2 month cruise. This is going to be my first cruise working under the new Department. Before we were part of the Dept. of Transportation. The Coast Guard takes the job of securing our waterways and borders very seriously, and from the looks of it, we may be a much needed budget increase. We have been asked to do more with less for a long time. So for those of you that vote religously, take a minute and write your Congressman, let him know that your security is important to you. Take care all, I'll be checking in every couple of days, and will review some cigars in foreign ports. Looks like the first one will be burnt in Nassau.

So I guess this is longer than just a 3 hour cruise ;) 2 months :0 Tell your wife and your kids thanks for letting us borrow you and your expertise :) We're lucky to have ya :thumbs:

Be safe out there in those various ports you'll be stopping. By the way do they let you know your itenerary ahead of schedule or do they just keep it hush hush.........

Looking forward to your tour guide look at these ports you'll be visiting.

Don't know how you do it Bro. Always off somewhere. Ya take care and burn a few good ones out there. (yes , I mean cigars :0 ). As for writing to our congresman,,,I will ,,but the ones from this part Ohio don't get a lot of respect nowdays, (even if he did run from jail :sign: )

I am in Operations dept, so most of the time I know everything before the Captain does. But what I know is classified secret, so I could tell ya, then get arrested. LOL.

No stern jumping yet. But is pretty choppy right now with a low sitting over us. Thanks for all the well wishes. Looks like tomorrow I'll be able to enjoy my first cigar of the patrol. :D
