Godspeed; Joe Cocker

As hard as some of the 60's rockers played you have to wonder how some made it to 70.  Joe was unique and had an unforgettable voice, he will be missed.

I was fortunate to see him at a great venue, the Philly Academy of Music. The same place Eugene Ormandy conducted. I'll miss him.

Doc

I remember growing up that my mom had an old Joe Cocker wristwatch in the drawer in the kitchen.  It was a big caricature of him and his arms moved like a Mickey Mouse watch.  I always found it quite peculiar.  Even before his death, the watch had come to mind and I wonder both what happened to it and if it had any value.

My mom listened to Joe Cocker all the time.  We had an old 8-track player in the living room and I can still see the faded yellow cassettes.  I can't say that I have personal memories of Cocker, but his voice was still a part of my childhood.
