Well, for those of you that know me I had some wrist surgery in December and long story short complications are forcing me back under for another round. I spent from December until now rehabbing, learning to type and use it again and as it turns out it was all for nothing.

The countdown begins... 14 days left then 6 weeks in a full arm cast and full rehab to learn to use my right wrist again. The only good news is I already figured out how to cut and light a cigar lefty during the last debacle. After these next 2 weeks I'll be away for a while, then back through rehab.

Plus I'm gonna have this new kick-ass scar.

Typical fish type injury

I tore the cartilage and the tendon started getting stuck in the tear (very painful). The only way to get it out was to bend my wrist until it popped out (more painful). The solution is to go in and cut the tear into a complete circle and remove it making the area smooth so the tendon doesn't stick. After 6 weeks in a cast and a few more in rehab we discover that the tendon sleeve is elongated which causes the tendon to literally SNAP over the bone and onto the nerve for my pinky (even more painful then before). This causes outbursts of profanity horrible fish rage. The only thing keeping me going is a wrist brace and a steady supply of top shelf cigars.

wow damn! :(
Hope they get the deed fixed on this try (and that it doesn't cause any more pain)

Good luck my friend...I'm sure you'll come out of surgery and rehab with flying colors.

One question, is the physical therapist a good looking female? If so, stretch out the rehab...I'm sure she'll be able to help the wrist.

Hey man, that totally blows! Nothing like having to go through rehab twice. It's so much fun...NOT!

Wishing you a speedy recovery and here's hoping that Hooters opens it's first rehab clinic in your town!

George Gessell (giving my age away) once said "there are 2 kinds of surgery, major and minor. The difference between them, minor surgery is when your having it and major surgery when I'm having it".

Good luck with your major surgery and recuperation. ;)

Get well soon brother, as a member of the brotherhood of going under the knife, this to will pass!

Having just met you, thanks for the RP 1992 by the way. Everything tells me all will go well. Looking forward to that Mt. Tom herf brother. Take care of yourself and keep the pedal off the metal.

Good luck on the surgery!! Now you need a good story to go with the kick-ass scar! It should be something dramatic and heroic. Maybe we can get a contest going for the best one. :D
