"The Captain" was a NE icon. I can not count the Saturdays I sat and watched his WWF antics on UHF WTAF-TV 29 as a child.

The final bell rings for Captain Lou.

I thought it was cool that he retired as a 'face'.

I was a huge rasslin' fan when I was a kid in the late 70's and early 80's and was a big fan of Cap'n Lou. RIP buddy.

Does this mean there will be no Body Slam 2 and no more Wild Samoans?

I did the same on many a Saturday followed by those horribly dubbed Chinese Kung-fu movies.

I remember him with his loud shirts/voice and the ever present rubber bands. He made me love Jimmy "The Superfly" Snuka when I was growing up............I still have the scar on my forehead from trying to jump down from eight steps down on to my opponent.

RIP!

I remember trying to tape rubber bands to my chin and face when I was a little kid. RIP

A mainstay of the highschool gym wrestlers when I was a kid. Lou, Bruno, Ivan and their like will never be seen again. He-Bop indeed!

I remember sitting around late Saturday morning and watching him on WWF with my little bro...those were the days. Never did understand the rubber band thing though. RIP Lou...
