Came across this on some short stretch of road along the RI/MA border somewhere. I know Ms. Crabtree will get on me for the spelling, but I hadda stop and take a picture.

I owe the Mayor of Wilkieville a pair a reviews. They'll be posted in the next couple of days...

Wilkie is gonna come in with the twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was on how you should have taken that picture.

Damn, now I got to go put that Lp on the turntable.

Doc.

Funny!

That's the usual spelling of "wilkie." My name seems to be quite a bit more uncommon, at least the one my parents finally settled on. In another world, you'd be calling me "Fernando."

From Ogame.org:

What are your planets names?

Posted by Wilkey on 05/25/2007

Mine are
Wilkeyotopia
Wilkeyville
Wilkeyland
Wilkeyton
Wilkeyburg
and last but not least...
UltraMegaSecret Base

like all of my planets are on galaxy 1 exept for UltraMegasecret Base which is in an unknown place to protect myself from some stupid guy who keeps on blowing me away before I can build up my defence to save myself. Even though he is ranked #1 I think he only knows about my homeworld. Man I am in some deep stuff if he finds out where I'm shipping all my stuff.

Another secret life revealed!

Yowza. I can say without a doubt that that is not me.

I am not a gamer. Not at all. In fact the only console I have is a Sony PS One and the only games I have are GT and GT2. I bought the console expressly to play those two games and after I beat them, they've just been sitting in my basement untouched. I haven't played a computer game of any sort in a good 4 or 5 years.

"Wilkeyotopia" sounds so silly. "Wilkeytopia" rolls off the tongue so much better.

I can see the guy who wrote this going to Wilkeyburg once in a while. :whistling:

The role of water in electrorheological fluids
Wong, W.; Shaw, M.T.

Summery:
The role of water in ER (electrorheological) fluid systems is investigated by correlating its physical state with the rheological properties of the fluid. In particular, the suitability of the water bridging model of the ER effect is evaluated. The electrorheology of three model fluids was studied as a function of electric field strength, moisture content, and placement under dynamic oscillatory shearing. It has been demonstrated that an ER fluid with a porous hydrophilic dispersed phase may behave very similarly to one with a nonporous hydrophobic dispersed phase. A novel ER fluid was prepared using a microencapsulated dispersed phase containing an abundance of water. It was found that although water was present in large amounts, as long as it was segregated from the continuous interparticle environment, the ER effect was greatly diminished from what one would expect based on this criterion alone. The results are in agreement with the idea that interparticle bridging by water may be an important aspect of the ER effect.

That brings back memories. That's my Masters Thesis in Chemical Engineering. I taught myself the coacervation technique for the creation of microencapsulated materials...the same technology that is used to make scratch-and-sniff coatings such as you might find in children's books or cologne sample sheets.

Wilkey

And I bet you wrote it at Wilkeyburg U. :p

Wow, being from RI, I had no idea this place existed....I did a little research though, and discovered they have specially designed sidewalks for the "sport" of full contact, topless skipping. :D

Speaking of skipping...

"Providence, RI Head Skipper--Wilkey Wong ginseng@aol.com

What does skipping do for you? Of all the mystical, health, and fun reasons…I think most of all, it is the simplest physical activity that can be done that makes you feel like you’re flying. When I’m at the peak of my hop, I can just close my eyes and feel like I’m miles high when I’m only inches off the ground. The brief, magical sensation of weightlessness let’s me feel like I’ve left the flat earth, my troubles, pain and stresses behind. When I touch back down for my step, the rush of power as I push against the ground fills me with the energy to fly even higher. I guess it’s a Zen thing.

Why did you decide to be the head skipper? I could say that I’m at a stage of rebirth, I’m rediscovering, revealing and nurturing the child within. And it would be true. It would also be true to say that this world and this society just needs more fun, more frivolity. We need to laugh. We need even the fleeting moments of joy. I felt it was time for me to be the stone thrown into the pond, to make ripples of positive energy, touch others and spread happiness. Providence is experiencing such a resurgence and explosion of vitality that the timing and place are truly converging to make the now, right.

Where is your favorite place to skip? I love to skip anywhere. I particularly like the grocery store, wilderness trails for a little extreme skipping and wherever people might tend to look at you funny. Since the Providence waterfront has been rejuvenated, it is also a beautiful place to skip. I hope to someday skip along the Charles River in Boston and the Cape Cod National Seashore."

C'Mon Wilkey. You know you play Grand Theft Auto only to get hookers in your car, bang 'em and then beat 'em to a pulp to get your money back. :sign:

hate to tell you this, moki broke this story about a month ago....

Story? What story?

Since that time in my life, I've found cigars, coffee, and good jugs 'n junk porno to be far more healing for the soul. :D
