Are there any suggestions for which cameroon cigar I should smoke in celebration when my first grandson, Cameron, is born? I have a Hemi Classic and Masterpiece; but, I would gladly buy another one as I love cameroon wrappers anyway. :p

I have never had a Partagas Aristacrat and hear they are tasty.

Any suggestions welcome!!

Thank you, everyone

Well my favorite cameroon so far is the Torano 1916, but I'm thinking your looking for something a bit more premium like :)

Yes, something vintage or at least with some age. What about Diamond Crowns? Are they Cameroon? I've never had one so if it is, this is the perfect excuse to blow $20 on a cigar. That's what this is really about, after all.

Edited for HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRICK!

Steve,

I can't help you with the Cameroon smoke (I don't do many of them) but congratulations on your first grandson!

Wilkey

Arturo Fuente Don Carlos are good Cameroon wrapper. Diamond Crown Maximus is an Ecuadorian SG. Diamond crown is a Connecticut wrapper.

Thanks for the congrats, Wilkey :)

I've given it some thought and I may buy a CAO Anny Beli.

Unless I change my mind, of course :p

Congrats!

CAO CX2 is good.......but I'd save that one for twins. ;)

Having tried that and the Anny, I prefer the Anny. The belicoso used to be good but it's been a while since I had one. The robusto is a damn fine cigar, too!

I have not smoked on myself, But I was told the H Upmann Vintage Cameroon was a great smoke.

It is a great smoke as well. Oh and congratulations, I didn't tell you before.

I think you are right there with the AF line. My favorites are the Hemi Classic and Signature but the Don Carlos' are yummy as well...

I think what you want is something that you will remember fondly when you look back on this special day, and a Classic never fails to perform IMHO

CONGRATS!

good luck on your cammie. you already got the best luck with your new grandson. CONGRATULATIONS GRANDPA! :D

Best cameroon cigar I know of is the Cuesta Rey Stanford's Cameroon Reserve...

If you can find a Partagas 150 AA,thats a damn fine full modied cammy cigar.

I wasn't aware of the 150's having a cameroon wrapper. I looked it up and you're right - they have an aged cameroon wrapper.

My impression from the few I've smoked - they've very mild - creamy, but extremely mild. A great morning smoke indeed!!!

George,
That was my experience with them. I don't knwo if I would call them "extremely" mild, but they are mild. Creamy, some very nice flavors, actually, with quite a refined taste profile, but far too mild for my tastes.

Thanks one and all for the Congrats as well as the great suggestions.

I am off to the B&M to see what I can get from the list:

Cuesta Rey Stanford's Cameroon Reserve
Partagas 150 AA
Partagas Aristacrat
Don Carlos #2

I know they have the last two - we'll see.

Congrats and goodluck grandpa!!!

Have you tried a La Aurora Preferidos robusto? they are pretty damn good!!!!!
