Hailey's Tale!

The blood work came back...Hailey is coming home today!

She'll be coming home with steroids and anti-biotics.
The former will be cut down over the next few weeks.

We still have to be vigilant about her care.

I'll try to get some pics up later.

THANK YOU ALL, again, for thinking of her...I know she can feel it!

Feel good story of the week. Thanks for the updates, and best wishes for the family... 2 and 4 legged members alike!

This is from yesterday at the vets.

Thanks again for ALL the well wishes.

She's eating little meals and taking her meds.

We go back on Friday for a follow up blood test and I'm sure another will be done next week.

Phew! Great news Gary, give her a big hug for being such a brave girl

I'm pleased!

Good job, papa.

Fantastic news Gary! She looks so happy to be heading home. I wish her a speedy recovery. Lots of love to Hailey from Prescott, AZ.

Gary, sorry that I didn't see this thread sooner. You are like us; you will do anything for your dogs because they are simply a part of the family.

I am very glad that she is coming home and I'm sure that Hailey is too.

She's home, still on meds and needs rest.

We are mixing a little kibble with the chix/ham/rice...and she's eating little meals.

She's still tired - I would be too!

We go for another blood test Friday...then a few more down the line.

Still cautiously optimistic.

Thanks for keeping us posted on her care Gary, on a side note I read about her condition and started perusing the site you linked. My little dog has seizures and although it is now stable, that was a great site to bookmark. Just in case! (knocks on my wooden head)

Thanks!

Glad to hear the good news!! :)

Hope the blood test comes back good! :)

The red count was up today - Yay!

The platelet results will be in tomorrow and we'll know more then.

She weighed in a few lbs lighter...but being on IV for 4 days probably did that.

She's 'sleepy' but not like the lethargic sleepy she was...more like 'I've been thru heck, let me rest!'

The kibble situation is still a fight and will be, as she like boiled chicken.
We'll feed her what she needs and work on the behavioral stuff later!
