Thanks for the birthday wishes. You're fired, Charlie.
Several weeks ago, I posted about still saving cigars and renewing a pledge to stop doing that. Been trying to live up to that. Yesterday was no exception. Only ISOM's were torched. That would have been unthinkable last year.
I spent the day golfing. After the round, we went to a local establishment for a beverage. A few other friends were there. They wouldn't let me buy a round and there was never an empty drink in front of me. Several hours later, I made it safely home. Missed my birthday dinner with the family, but they understood. The wife knows my friends. She knew I was being kidnapped.
It was an enjoyable day. This morning is a little rough. The Kid[sup]TM [/sup]is taking great delight in talking very loudly to me. He may not live to see the sun set tonight. Barbara keeps looking at me and laughing, but that's something she does on a regular basis. ??? We're combining my birthday dinner with Easter brunch. I'm picking up my 90 year old constantly talking full-blooded Italian mother in a few hours. Maybe that's why Barb keeps laughing at me.
