Thanks for your service.
Happy Birthday! I have many fond memories of this day. This day and Hospital Corps birthday are my favorite days of the year. From 1791 to 1990 Marines were always a part of Ship's Company, traditionally attaining the highest gunnery scores in the Fleet. Some traditions should never end. Now with all that nostalgic crap out of the way, don't forget to change your socks and wear your rubbers. God damn Jarheads.
Doc.
Greetings! Thank you, AVB. Everything is fine. I have just been up to my ears in alligators doing different things, and I haven't posted here on CigarPass in a while. By the way, there is an excellent Marine Corps Community web site, which may interest you. Please visit http://www.leatherneck.com/. I also want to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday Season! Regards, knightlairdNice to see you again knightlaird, where you been?
232 years ago the gates of Hell opened and the Marine Corps was born.
On November 10, 1775, the Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia passed a resolution stating that "two Battalions of Marines be raised" for service as landing forces with the fleet. This resolution, established the Continental Marines and marked the birth date of the United States Marine Corps.
Join me and all of my brothers who have gone before in a moment of thanks for allowing us to serve this fine nation.
So in Marine tradition who is the youngest and who is the oldest Marine on the boards?
